This month’s focus, for me at least, is to quit with the excuses and just GSD (Get Sh*t Done!). I’m not as much of a procrastinator as I was when I was younger but there’s still plenty of room for improvement and I’m sure I’m not alone on this one. This month I am challenging myself and anyone else who’s interested to:
1) Focus on the things that you want most in life,
2) Go after them with a relentless pursuit and
3) Stop saying “I’ll get it done tomorrow” because tomorrow never comes!
Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
Great example; Summer is just around the corner, pool parties and other outdoor events are coming up and it’s the best time of the year to get in better shape and look your best. In fact, you could probably start right now. Go hit a workout and then come back to finish the rest of this blog – It’s OK, I’ll wait.
Alright, you’re back. How was the training session? Great! Now aren’t you glad you didn’t put that off until tomorrow? If you had, there’s a good chance you would do the same tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that until next thing you know the entire summer has passed by and you failed to look or feel any different. Not cool. Your intentions could be amazing but if there’s no follow through, nothing happens. That’s no fun, don’t be that guy/girl.
You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.
Now is officially YOU season, declared by me. Focus on you, get what you really want/need to get done and start NOW. We are meant to be mobile beings in all senses of the word. To remain stagnant is to be stale and that’s when you fall behind. If you are not constantly moving towards the things you want and need most to succeed and be happy and healthy, you’re missing out on the best part of life! If that’s you, it’s time to change that around and start taking action. Don’t wait until tomorrow, GSD right now.
