Road to Provincials: Day 28/231
It’s Monday afternoon and I’ve just finished my workout for the day. Generally Mondays have been Leg Day for me for the past 6-7 weeks but I came in today wanting to go after arms instead so I mixed it up and it turned out to be a good idea. My lift was solid and my arms feel like they are about twice their regular size. Today was the first day of my mini cut before Christmas so I added in a little kettle bell/push up/squat jump Tabata at the end of my lift to wrap things up and it’s embarrassing to say but it was way more challenging than it should have been haha.
With today being Day 1 of Operation: Abs for Xmas, I’m officially going carb free with the exception of veggies, occasional post-workout sweet potato and one rice meal today (because we have rice at home cooked up and I didn’t want it to go to waste) so we’ll see how that goes. I feel good so far after crushing a beautiful beef, nuts/seeds and cauliflower mash meal that my wonderful fiancé cooked up for breakfast and after I finish my post-workout shake, it’s on to some tilapia, rice and asparagus. If I can continue to luck out with awesome tasting meals like this I can’t see myself missing the carbs that much at all.
Anyway, this entry is going to be short because I’ve got grub to eat before my afternoon clients get started. I hope everyone has as positive a Monday as me today and gets off to a productive start to your week!
